I mounted a weather vane on the roof of my garage about 25 years ago. Last week it was time to re-shingle the roof. The roofers stripped the heads of the screws while attempting to remove the mount. In frustration, they just yanked on the 3/4" pole and managed to break a leg of the mount. I immediately Googled "weather vane mount" and was surprised when an identical mount appeared. Apparently my weather vane and mount was originally purchased from East Coast Weather Vanes. The mount would have lasted many more years had the roof not failed. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'm sure the old weather vane and new mount will outlast me.
