Description
The Flying Duck Weathervane comes equipped with a variety of components for easy installation and durability in harsh weather environments. A weathervane mounting rod, made from black powder-coated steel, is included as standard. This rod consists of two pieces: a 3/4" diameter 18" long bottom rod and a top spindle with a diameter of either 3/8" or 1/2". Customers may choose to upgrade to a stainless steel rod for added durability.
In addition to the mounting rod, copper spacer balls measuring 2 inches and 4 inches are included, as well as weathervane directionals indicating North, South, East, and West. Each directional is 18" long and 3" tall. A 3/4" ring is also provided to hold up the bottom copper spacer ball, and a retaining hook ensures that the weathervane remains secure in high winds. The NSEW directionals and copper spacer balls take up the top 10 inches of the 3/4" rod, leaving 8 inches of rod remaining to be placed into one of our roof mounts or cupolas.
Crafted from 22 ga 20 oz pure copper, the Flying Duck Weathervane measures 23" long x 21" tall x 29" in wingspan. Customers should add 10" to the height to account for the copper balls and directionals.
